I Wish I May, I Wish I Might - -

So, if you read my post from yesterday then you know that in the last few years I’ve had some pretty major projects both start and stall while one or two (or twenty!) of them completely went down in flames - but I just kept rising from those ashes and throwing more, well, ash, against the wall.  Along the way though I walked my talk (even while hopping over some of those aforementioned hot coals) and worked my trade and called on some of the secret (and not so) Shui that I know to help foundation new efforts and exciting endeavors.  I also, on occasion (read: daily) did something proactive and intentional to pull some big guns over to my side of the hope-full equation.

Sort of my own private Luck Project in the way that Gretchen Rubin tried to mine happiness with hers.

Even christened it The Luck Project and made a commitment to do something - anything - every single day to turn the tables and double down.

And as is my ken, a staple in my toolbox is to call in some of the most powerful and invisible energies I know to make sure that hope springs eternal while wishes do come true.  Of course, then, that got me to thinking about WISHING.  Wishing well.

So today, let me share one of my specific efforts at triggering some help from a really big Buddhist gun.

Guanshiyin Bodhisattva uses nothing but kindness and compassion, joy and generosity to save all living/sentient beings.  He is reported and purported to save us from what are called the ‘Seven Difficulties’ (or what I laundry, dinner, my hair, my hormones - oh, okay, never mind - you get it!)  It is said that if childless couples seek daughters or sons that they should call upon his favor and their wish will be granted.  In fact, it’s also been said that in ANY Guanshiyin recitation session (remember those last two words) ANY ask can be fulfilled, ANY result can be answered and obtained because, and I NOW know this to be TRUE, he responds to ALL requests.  Of course those requests can do no harm, either to you or another.  And they more than likely come more quickly true if they offer some sort of service or highest good for all/another.  But ancient and sacred text tells that with his great kindness, his stellar compassion, he’ll never leave you high and dry.  Or mired in the ashes either.  He will not disappoint no matter what and he’ll full-fill your wishes for “worldly riches, honor and glory - even though these are fleeting and will come to an end.  Rather, he encourages us each to ask for “happiness - endless and infinite.”  I asked for it all.  You know, just to be sure.  So we are told to RECITE Guanshiyin Bodhisattva’s name in order to “realize an everlasting fruition.”

I recited and recited and recited.  I gave gratitude from my heart because I KNEW my own efforts were bearing fruit - coming to ‘everlasting fruition.’  Even now, today, I will call upon him again, as one does an old friend who’s been along for the ride.  And I will wish that everyone reading this post receive the beautiful blessings of his kind and compassionate promises.  And that everyone receive happiness - endless and infinite too!  Namaste!
