Be The Change - - -

Going to crib from my iVillage daily tips today while continuing to work on the brand new POWER OF LOVE product.  I had the most remarkable testimonial yesterday from a family member who agreed to use it, under an odd set of circumstances, but I’ll tell you more about that when I have more time tomorrow.  For today and in celebration of the man and his message, please see below my brief homage to one of the most beautiful beings of all time:

It was on this day that a voice dedicated to showing how each of us can be a change in the world was silenced. On this day in 1948, Mahatma Gandhi, the political and ideological leader of India during the Indian independence movement, was killed. But this prince of peace and non-violence did not die without showing the rest of us how we should live. Just before he expired Gandhi looked at his assassin in the eye and he forgave him. To the end, this simple yet powerful man showed what a planet of peace, love, and balance this could be. On this day, think about someone you need to forgive and then do the following. Write the name of anyone who you have an issue with in green ink on a small piece of white paper. Fold the paper and put it inside any small, lidded jar or glass container. Cover the paper with honey and tightly seal the lid. Each day for nine days straight, light a small white tea candle on top the container, and silently send forgiveness to whoever’s name is writte n there. Open up to the sweetness and the healing of forgiveness. Love might mean never having to say you’re sorry, but it also means forgiving anyone who has wronged you. In honor of a true saint among men, let us each practice what he preached. Rest in PEACE, Mahatma Gandhi and Namaste for showing the rest of us how to achieve that state as well!  XOE
