A Very HAPPY New Year!
I think it safe to say that we would all like to have Lady Luck clinking Clicquot alongside our own Auld Lang Syne, but, in the case that she’s partying elsewhere, here’s a New Year tradition that guarantees fortune and tons of luck regardless! No, no, it’s not all that advice of old such as don’t sweep or even clean on New Year’s Day lest you sweep your luck away. Of course we shouldn’t ever speak of the past on that same special day either but, rather, talk of the big dreams we attach to the future so we can watch them unfold. We don’t ever want to curse or cry on New Year’s Day either, that’s a big and ages-old ‘No No.’ And you know that eating round foods like donuts will help to ring in the New Year with excitement, joy and magic. Yes, yes, there are lots of time-tested traditions to enact on the first day of the New Year that will guarantee all good for all the rest of it.
But here is a little known ‘3 – Day New Year 2012 Fortune and Luck Enhancing Ritual’ that promises to bring opportunities to enrich and activate health, happiness, love, money and more! It must begin on the very first day of the New Year as soon as you wake up. Silently and solemnly bless family, friends and loved ones very first thing. Next you will wish that all of their hopes and dreams come true and sincerely wish that very same thing to everyone you meet on this day. You are strongly encouraged to use another sort of horn of plenty and call your parents, in-laws, elders and people you love all throughout the day. Traditionally, this luck activating exercise would last for the first 15 days of the New Year. But these heartfelt blessings must be shared on this first day.
You should also wear new clothes on New Year’s Day, at least new under garments. And if at all possible, they should be red! Red brings good luck, good news and, ahem, attention – of the very good kind!
At some point on New Year’s Day you should also make every attempt to get quiet and think good thoughts about YOU with a relaxed attitude and mind. Open your heart and then say any prayer that feels sacred and right to you. Connect the Divine with your wishes for the New Year and then, with a grateful heart go about your day ‘AS IF’ your wishes were already a reality. Just for this one day feel contentment and at peace. Fell happy. And lucky too. You will be setting the tone for the whole following year. You simply have NO idea how tremendously powerful this empowered action step is.
Ideally is good to eat as vegetarian as possible throughout the first few days of the year although salmon is considered a New Year’s ‘good luck’ food. No matter how it’s cooked. So, if you got it, smoke it, and add a little cream cheese and capers to the ROUND bagel and you’re off to the best start ever! Even helps a hangover. Luckeeeeee!
And, as always, don’t throw anything away or pour water on the ground, don’t use anything cutting (scissors, knives, your tongue!) and, finally don’t write or mail checks either. The intention here is to set one that will set the tone for 2012.
Now, doing any or ALL of these important exercises/actions on the very first day will bring blessings untold but doing this same ritual daily for the first three days of the New Year promises that you will find your fortunes and your luck seriously activated, enriched and hugely enhanced for all of 2012!
HAPPY New Year! I love you all! XXOE
